Wodonga Heart FC 2024

In 2024 we continued to build on our success in the pervious year.

 

On-field achievements

  • 2 Junior Championships: U14 Boys (undefeated, 4th consecutive title) & U16 Boys

  • Historic Milestone: First-ever Division 1 Ladies’ team

  • Men’s Expansion: Added Over 35s team, 3 senior men’s squads in total

  • Finals Fever: All junior teams made finals; Div. 2 & Div. 3 men reached finals

  • 6th on the AWFA Club Champions competition​

Individual achievements

  • 15 rep players + 3 TSP selections

  • 16 state champions across age groups

  • State of Origin selections for Lili & Gemma

  • Former players now in A-League NPL programs

  • VIC State Champions: Andie (U13), Prajin, Tyla, Isaac (U14), Hamish, Jackson (U15) Jay, Charlie, Kallum (U16’s), Campbell, Haram (U18), Emma (U12 girls), Cayla, Erika (U14 girls).

AWFA Awards

  • Amber: leading goalkeeper Division 1 Women

Off the field

  • Facilities Boost: New shed, buggy, and custom trailer thanks to The Blazing Stump, Wodonga Council and volunteers

  • Tech Upgrade: Fundraising enabled us to buy a VEO game camera

  • Coaching Support: Participated in FV Club Coach Coordinator program

  • Grants & Sponsors: Multiple community grants and strong sponsor engagement

  • Football Australia Accreditation: 2-Star Club Changer rating

Growing Strong

  • Miniroos Boom: Record 167 players with excellent volunteer support

  • Girls’ Development: Combined programs with other clubs + successful Mini–World Cup

  • Strategic Goals Achieved:

    • Coach education initiatives

    • Culture: clear code of conduct for coaches, players, and parents
